Matelassé is French for “quilted” or “cushioned” and is meant to mimic the style of hand-stitched Marseilles-style quilts made in France.

For a truly one-of-a-kind gift, embroider with a name or monogram. If the name hasn’t been revealed yet, consider personalizing with the family last name with a thread color that matches everything, like yellow, grey, or green. (We recommend the white quilt for this occasion.)
